Job summary

Cooper Parry’s Reading audit trainee role offers hands-on experience delivering statutory audits across diverse clients. You'll start in January 2027, with ACA qualification support from college courses and on‑the‑job learning, backed by a dedicated Student Support Manager.

The program suits graduates and school leavers; interviews are 20 October in London. A flexible approach to work and strong teamwork are valued as you develop toward qualifying as a chartered accountant.

Qualifications

• Graduates: completed degree and at least 3 A Levels (BBC) including numerical or business subject.
• School Leavers: same A Level requirements.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and documenting client information — invoices, bank statements, payroll reports.
• Assessing the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
• Attending client year‑end stocktakes (weekends around Christmas may occur).
• Speaking with client finance teams to understand their systems and processes.
• Assisting in preparing financial statements using our audit software.
• Working in small teams to carry out financial testing and contribute to audit reports.
• Meeting deadlines and supporting your team to deliver high‑quality work.
