Job summary

Cooper Parry in Manchester is recruiting an Audit Trainee to help deliver statutory audits for a varied client base. You’ll gain hands-on experience from day one, supported by a dedicated Student Support Manager and team.

The role begins in September 2027, with ACA qualification training integrated into college courses and on‑the‑job learning. You’ll study while you work, balancing commitments as you develop technical skills and grow within a fast-growing UK firm renowned for its people,

Qualifications

• Studying for ACA while working; commitment and resilience.
• Ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines.
• Interest in how businesses and pension schemes operate.
• Graduates: degree plus 3 A Levels; School leavers: same A Level requirements.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and documenting client information — invoices, bank statements, payroll reports.
• Assessing the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
• Attending client year-end stocktakes (weekends sometimes).
• Speaking with client finance teams to understand systems and processes.
• Assisting in preparing financial statements using audit software.
• Working in small teams to carry out financial testing and contribute to audit reports.
• Meeting deadlines and supporting the team to deliver high-quality work.
