Cooper Parry in Birmingham is hiring an Audit Trainee to join a tight-knit team delivering statutory audits for a varied client base. You’ll gain hands-on experience from day one and work towards the ACA while balancing study commitments.

Starting January 2027, you’ll be supported by the team as you learn how businesses and pension schemes operate, with a pathway that grows your skills without losing your spark.

Qualifications

• Degree by start date and three A Levels at BBC, including STEM or business.
• Genuine interest in how businesses operate and strong numerical curiosity.
• Willingness to study ACA Chartered Accountant qualification.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and documenting client information such as invoices and payroll reports.
• Assessing the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
• Attending client year-end stocktakes, sometimes on weekends.
• Interacting with client finance teams to understand systems and processes.
• Assisting in preparing financial statements using audit software.
• Collaborating in small teams to perform financial testing and contribute to reports.
• Meeting deadlines and supporting the team to deliver high-quality work.
