Job summary

Puro Associates in Northampton is seeking an Audit Senior to join its expanding team. The role involves managing audit assignments from planning through to completion and engaging with a varied portfolio of SMEs and owner-managed businesses.

The ideal candidate is ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified, with strong FRS 102 knowledge and excellent communication and organisational skills, and a clear ambition to progress within a growing audit team.

Qualifications

• Previous Audit Senior experience within accountancy practice.
• ACA/ACCA qualification or part-qualification.
• Strong technical audit knowledge, including FRS 102.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Ambition to progress within a growing audit team.
• Experience in statutory accounts and corporation tax would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Managing audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Working with a varied portfolio of SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
• Auditing medium-sized companies under FRS 102.
• Liaising directly with clients and building strong relationships.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
• Managing workloads to ensure deadlines are met.
• Working closely with managers and contributing to a high-quality service.

The Opportunity

A growing independent accountancy practice in Northampton is seeking an Audit Senior to join its expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified accountant looking for greater responsibility, client exposure and career progression within a modern, flexible practice.

The role will involve:

• Managing audit assignments from planning through to completion
