Bestway Healthcare is expanding its Audit, Risk & Compliance team and seeks an experienced Audit & Risk professional to strengthen governance, financial controls and operational resilience across the business in the UK.

Working with senior stakeholders, you will identify risks, evaluate controls, deliver insightful audits and support the development of the enterprise risk framework. This is a hybrid role with 3 days on site (Manchester or Stoke) and 2 days at home.

Qualifications

  • Qualified in audit or accounting (or working towards one).
  • Experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, Assurance, Revenue Assurance or Financial Controls.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver risk-based financial and operational audits across the business.
  • Evaluate controls, identify risk and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct revenue assurance reviews to protect income and reduce leakage.
  • Produce clear audit reports for senior leadership.
  • Support management of the enterprise risk framework.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve risk awareness and control effectiveness.
  • Support business continuity and operational resilience activities.
  • Monitor and follow up on audit actions and escalations.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.

Bestway Healthcare are expanding their Audit, Risk & Compliance team and are looking for an experienced Audit & Risk professional to help strengthen governance, financial controls and operational resilience across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in providing independent assurance across a diverse and fast-paced organisation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will identify risks, evaluate controls, deliver insightful audits and support the ongoing development of the organisation’s risk management framework.

This is a hybrid role and if successful you will be required to work on site 3 days a week (2 days at home). We can consider candidates local to either our Manchester or Stoke office.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver risk-based financial and operational audits across the business.
  • Evaluate controls, identify areas of risk and recommend practical improvements.
  • Conduct revenue assurance reviews to identify opportunities to protect income and reduce revenue leakage.
  • Produce clear and concise audit reports for senior leadership audiences.
  • Support the development and ongoing management of the enterprise risk framework.
  • Partner with stakeholders across retail, wholesale and support functions to improve risk awareness and control effectiveness.
  • Support business continuity and operational resilience activities.
  • Monitor and follow up on agreed audit actions, ensuring progress is tracked and risks are appropriately escalated.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, compliance and effective risk management.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Professional audit or accountancy qualification (or working towards one)
  • Experience within Internal Audit, Risk Management, Assurance, Revenue Assurance or Financial Controls.
  • Excellent report writing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders.
  • Ability to challenge constructively, influence stakeholders and drive positive outcomes.
