Job summary

Well Pharmacy Horfield in Bristol is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join the team for a 12-month maternity cover at the Horfield - Filton Road branch. The role supports 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, with a focus on high-quality patient care and service delivery.

The successful candidate must have an MPharm degree, be registered with GPhC on start date, and be prepared to work within a busy community pharmacy.

Qualifications

• GPhC registration required on start date.
• Experience in community pharmacy preferred.
• MPharm degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical pharmacy services including NMS, BP checks, ABPM and minor illness management.
• Dispense medications accurately and maintain patient counselling.
• Support development and cover for maternity contract; collaborate with the team.

You’ll be supported in your role by an Area Operations Manager and a Regional Operations Manager, with regular structured pharmacy visits

Overview of the role

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist to join the team and make a difference at our pharmacy in Horfield - Filton Road in Bristol.

This is a 12 month maternity cover contract.

This community pharmacy is commutable from surrounding cities/towns/villages and is located on a main road. It has a good relationship with the local GP surgery/health centre.

How our pharmacy makes a difference:

• It dispenses 1800 items a week,
• It provides a wide range of services including NMS, BP, ABPM, Contraception, PF, Minor Illness, flu, weight management and a range of private services
• It provides services to 20 substance misuse patients.
• It dispenses 90 community blisters.

This pharmacy is open 9am-6pm Monday-Friday, 9am-12pm Saturday's.

The dynamic team at this pharmacy is comprised of a Non pharm manager, 3 qualified NVQ 2 dispensers, 1 ACT and 1 trainee pharmacy assistant.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate must possess an MPharm degree or equivalent and management experience is desired but not essential. You will be required to have your GPhC registration upon your start date.
