Job summary

Well Pharmacy, part of Bestway Healthcare, is expanding its Audit, Risk & Compliance team. The role focuses on independent assurance, governance, and controls across the business, with hybrid working (on-site 3 days a week, 2 days remote).

You will partner with senior leaders to strengthen risk management and drive improvements across retail and wholesale operations. Ideal candidates will hold an audit/accountancy qualification (or be working towards one) and have experience in Internal Audit,

Qualifications

  • Professional audit or accountancy qualification (or working towards one).
  • Experience within Internal Audit, Risk Management, Assurance, Revenue Assurance or Financial Controls.
  • Risk management experience advantageous.
  • Excellent report writing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders.
  • Ability to challenge constructively, influence stakeholders and drive positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver risk-based financial and operational audits across the business.
  • Evaluate controls, identify areas of risk and recommend practical improvements.
  • Conduct revenue assurance reviews to identify opportunities to protect income and reduce revenue leakage.
  • Produce clear and concise audit reports for senior leadership audiences.
  • Support the development and ongoing management of the enterprise risk framework.
  • Partner with stakeholders across retail, wholesale and support functions to improve risk awareness and control effectiveness.
  • Support business continuity and operational resilience activities.
  • Monitor and follow up on agreed audit actions, ensuring progress is tracked and risks are appropriately escalated.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, compliance and effective risk management.

Overview of the role

Bestway Healthcare are expanding their Audit, Risk & Compliance team and are looking for an experienced Audit & Risk professional to help strengthen governance, financial controls and operational resilience across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in providing independent assurance across a diverse and fast-paced organisation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will identify risks, evaluate controls, deliver insightful audits and support the ongoing development of the organisation's risk management framework.

This is a hybrid role and if successful you will be required to work on site 3 days a week (2 days at home). We can consider candidates local to either our Manchester or Stoke office.

Main Responsibility

The Ideal Candidate
