Job summary

RSM UK is offering a 12-month paid placement in External Audit as part of your sandwich degree. You’ll work alongside current trainees and experienced audit professionals on real client work and benefit from on-the-job training and internal training courses to help you develop throughout the year.

As a member of the audit team, you’ll conduct risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes and controls, helping ensure accurate financial statements and build stakeholder confidence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of UCAS points across three A levels (or equivalent qualification) and enrolment on a placement degree.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data to solve problems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes and controls.
• Work quickly within a team, then take on individual responsibility for projects.
• Engage with a variety of clients from owner-managed businesses to large groups and not-for-profits.
