Job summary

Get Recruited is partnering with an established accountancy practice to recruit an Audit Assistant Manager. You will manage audit engagements from planning through to completion, review junior staff and build strong client relationships.

The role offers breadth across planning, fieldwork and reviewing work, with a clear path toward Audit Manager. You will work closely with Audit Managers and Responsible Individuals to resolve technical queries and ensure compliance with UK GAAP and FRS 102.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering audits for UK GAAP; familiarity with FRS 102 preferred.
• Ability to review junior staff and provide coaching on audit methodology.
• Strong client relationship-building and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Prepare audit plans, identify key risks and develop testing strategies.
• Coordinate fieldwork and ensure timely, on-budget delivery.
• Review files prepared by junior colleagues and escalate issues as needed.
• Prepare audit findings and recommendations for clients.
• Collaborate with Managers and Responsible Individuals on technical queries.
• Act as main client contact during assignments.
• Assist with statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and FRS 102.
• Support corporation tax computations as required.
• Supervise and develop junior audit staff.
• Allocate assignments and monitor workloads.
