Job summary

An established accountancy practice in Newbury is recruiting an Audit Assistant Manager to join the growing team. The role suits an experienced Audit Senior stepping up, or an existing Assistant Manager seeking a clear route to Audit Manager.

The successful candidate will oversee audit assignments, review work, train juniors and work with managers and partners to deliver high-quality services to clients, while managing budgets and deadlines.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with a recognised accountancy practice background.
• Strong audit capability and a track record of delivering high-quality files.
• Experience supervising and training junior staff and seniors.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with ability to manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Lead audits across a varied portfolio of clients and review work for quality.
• Supervise Audit Seniors and trainees and support the management team.
• Work closely with Managers and Partners, reviewing financial statements.
• Build relationships with clients and contribute to meeting budgets and deadlines.
• Assist with development and training of junior team members.
