Job summary

Bonhams in London is seeking a Sale Coordinator to support the Modern British & Irish Art department and help deliver auctions while running daily operations. You will coordinate with clients, restorers and suppliers throughout the sale cycle, ensuring smooth processes and accurate documentation.

The role demands meticulous organisation, proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders, and a flexible approach to cover valuations, condition reports, and post-sale inquiries,

Qualifications

• Strong time management and organisational ability.
• Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage workflow and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Flexible approach to support Departments and teams outside core responsibilities.
• Experience in an administrative position.

Responsibilities

• Be the department’s expert user of Auctioneer 3, Bonhams’ Auction Management System.
• Manage clients and property through the sale cycle, including contracts and payments.
• Primary contact for clients, restorers and suppliers; escalate to Specialists as needed.
• Coordinate movement of property with regional offices, Shipping and Photography.
• Support after-sale enquiries, shipping quotes for purchased and unsold lots.
• Assist with valuations, condition reports and condition photography.
• Support day-to-day auction activities, respond to client enquiries pre- and post-sale.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
