Marchant Recruitment is seeking an organised Attendance Manager for a high‑performing school in Dudley to drive attendance monitoring and pupil welfare. You will lead attendance initiatives, analyse patterns, and work closely with families to remove barriers to regular attendance.

The role requires strong leadership, communication and administrative skills, with a focus on improving pupil engagement and outcomes. ASAP start for a full‑time position.

Qualifications

• Experience in school attendance, pastoral support, or education-based roles.
• Experience coordinating attendance procedures and supporting improvement strategies.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to analyse attendance data and prepare reports.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confidential handling of sensitive information and safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee attendance procedures and monitor patterns of absence and persistence absenteeism.
• Lead attendance initiatives and implement strategies to improve attendance rates.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure data is up to date.
• Liaise with parents/carers to address concerns and plan interventions.
• Collaborate with pastoral staff, safeguarding teams and external agencies as needed.
• Prepare attendance reports and present findings to senior leaders.
• Support school attendance policies and relevant statutory guidance.
• Manage referrals and escalate concerns per school procedures.
