Job summary

The Portsmouth Academy, part of The Thinking Schools Academy Trust, is seeking a Deputy Attendance Improvement Coordinator to help reduce absence levels and improve student punctuality. You will support the Attendance Improvement Coordinator and collaborate with staff and families.

Knowledge of attendance monitoring, recording, and referral processes is advantageous. This role offers the chance to contribute to a supportive school community and make a real difference in students' lives.

Qualifications

• Experience with attendance in schools and referral processes.
• Ability to engage with parents/carers on attendance and punctuality.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with school and trust staff to improve attendance and punctuality.
• Support development and maintenance of initiatives to motivate pupils to achieve outstanding attendance.
• Ensure attendance registers are completed accurately and on time.
• Liaise with parents/carers regarding attendance and punctuality matters.
