Job summary

The Portsmouth Academy is seeking a Deputy Attendance Improvement Coordinator to support the Attendance Improvement Coordinator in reducing absence levels and improving student outcomes. You will work with school and Trust staff and families to promote punctuality and consistent attendance.

This role involves maintaining accurate attendance records, contributing to initiatives to motivate pupils, and liaising confidently with parents about attendance matters.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of attendance in schools, monitoring, recording and referral processes would be beneficial.
• Experience in liaising with parents/carers regarding attendance matters would be advantageous.

• Support in the development and maintenance of initiatives to motivate pupils to achieve outstanding school attendance.
• Work accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring attendance registers are completed accurately.
