Job summary

E-ACT Willenhall Academy is seeking an Attendance Manager to improve pupil attendance and engagement. You will build positive relationships with families, monitor attendance trends, and implement interventions to support pupils.

Reporting to the Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will lead attendance strategies, manage first day absence processes, produce regular reports, investigate non-attendance and plan timely return to school, and conduct parent meetings.

Qualifications

• Five GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4+).
• Knowledge of attendance improvement strategies.
• Experience leading attendance management in a school.
• Experience using data to identify issues and produce reports.
• Experience handling sensitive and confidential student information.

Responsibilities

• Lead attendance strategies and supporting procedures across the Academy.
• Lead first day absence management processes.
• Use data to provide regular and ad hoc detailed attendance reports.
• Establish reasons for non-attendance and agree plans for return to school.
• Conduct formal meetings with parents/carers and ensure follow up actions.
