Job summary

Lift Sir Herbert Leon is recruiting an Attendance & Wellbeing Lead to improve attendance, wellbeing, and engagement. You will work with students, families and external agencies, using data to guide interventions and support reintegration after absences.

You will also serve as a named Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), safeguarding students and coordinating welfare support across the academy.

Qualifications

• GCSEs English and Maths are required or equivalent.
• Experience in working with and motivating young people is essential.
• Good safeguarding and child protection knowledge is required; experience with external agencies is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor attendance and punctuality, identifying trends and intervention areas.
• Engage with students and families to understand barriers to attendance.
• Undertake home visits to support reintegration into school.
• Coordinate attendance interventions with school staff and external agencies.
• Support wellbeing and safeguarding as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).
• Build strong relationships with families to access support and services.
