Job summary

WSP seeks an Associate/Technical Director to lead groundwater and water resources projects across the UK and globally. You will guide hydrogeologists, develop structured training, and shape the capability of the Catchment Science team within Sustainable Water Management Consulting.

You will influence the technical direction, manage projects from inception to delivery, and contribute to proposals and client relationships to secure future work.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in groundwater and water environment assessment, including modelling, EIA, WFD, conceptualisation and site investigation.
• Understanding of UK hydrogeology and regulatory framework for water management.
• Proven ability to lead projects from inception to delivery with financial and programme management.
• Experience with framework delivery and winning repeat business.

Responsibilities

• Lead major groundwater and water resources projects and guide junior staff.
• Shape capability and provide training within the Catchment Science team.
• Influence technical direction across Sustainable Water Management and related specialists.
• Prepare high quality proposals and strengthen client relations to grow the pipeline.
