Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate/Technical Director to lead groundwater and water resources projects within our Catchment Science team in the Sustainable Water Management Consulting group. You will guide hydrogeology projects, develop training, and shape capability growth over the next five years.

You will collaborate with hydrogeologists across disciplines, manage projects from inception to delivery, win work, and support client relationships on nationally important programmes.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in groundwater and water environment assessment including modelling, EIA and site investigation.
• Understanding of UK regulatory framework for water management.
• Proven ability to lead projects from inception to delivery with financial and programme management.
• Experience with framework delivery and ability to win repeat business.
• Excellent report writing and analytical skills; ability to solve complex hydrogeological problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead major groundwater and water resources projects.
• Shape the future of groundwater capability within the business.
• Guide junior hydrogeologists and drive training and succession planning.
• Contribute to technical direction and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
