Job summary

WSP UK is seeking a highly capable Technical Director to lead major groundwater and water resources projects within the Catchment Science team. You will direct modelling, EIA and water quality work, and mentor hydrogeologists while shaping project delivery across the UK and beyond.

The role offers progression, strong client leadership, and a hybrid-working environment with two days at home. You will collaborate across disciplines and with international colleagues to deliver integrated outcomes

Qualifications

Strong experience in groundwater and water environment assessment including modelling, EIA, WFD, conceptualisation and site investigation.
Understanding of UK regulatory framework for water management.
Proven ability to lead projects from inception to delivery with financial and programme management.
Desirable: experience with framework delivery and winning work.

Responsibilities

Lead groundwater and water resources projects including modelling, EIA, and water quality.
Mentor and develop junior hydrogeologists; grow capability and succession planning.
Shape technical direction of a national team and collaborate with senior leaders.
Prepare proposals, identify opportunities, and secure repeat business.
Collaborate across disciplines and international WSP colleagues to deliver integrated outcomes.
