Job summary

Connect Legal Partners seeks a senior Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager to work with directors on team performance, profitability and staff development. You will lead a team and manage several projects, delivering QS and PM services while nurturing key client relationships.

With MRICS and a QS/Cost Management degree, expect seven+ years' experience, strong CostX and negotiation skills, plus UK travel with a car. Competitive salary and annual bonus opportunity are offered.

Qualifications

• A MRICS-qualified QS or project manager with a degree in quantity surveying or cost management.
• Seven+ years in quantity surveying or project management with team leadership and a track record in BD.
• Full driving licence with own car for UK travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team of quantity surveyors, assistants and apprentices and manage delivery.
• Run multiple projects as the main client contact and ensure QS/PM services are delivered.
• Develop key client accounts, network to secure new work, and run CPD/training sessions.

The role

You will work with the directors on the running of the team, covering quality, delivery, profitability and staff development. You will manage quantity surveyors, assistants and apprentices, lead your own construction projects as the main client contact, and deliver QS and project management services across several jobs at once. You will look after key client accounts, run training and CPD sessions and bring in new work through networking.

What you will need

A degree in quantity surveying, construction cost management or similar, and MRICS. Seven years or more in quantity surveying or project management, experience managing a team, and a track record of business development. CostX, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a full driving licence with your own car for travel around the UK.
