Qualifications

• MRICS qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of Quantity Surveying and Cost Management services across projects.
• Manage projects from feasibility and cost planning through procurement, construction and final accounts.
• Prepare cost plans, estimates and tender documentation; manage procurement and tenders.
• Provide pre- and post-contract cost management, change control, valuations and final accounts.
• Offer commercial and contractual advice to clients and ensure commercial performance and delivery.
• Build and maintain client relationships and support development of new opportunities.
• Mentor junior QS staff and collaborate with project managers, design teams and contractors.

Associate Quantity Surveyor – London

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Quantity Surveyor to join an established independent construction consultancy in their London office. This senior role sits within the London Cost Management team and offers responsibility for a varied portfolio of high-quality projects across healthcare, heritage, education and hotel sectors.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of Quantity Surveying and Cost Management services across a range of projects.
• Manage projects from initial feasibility and cost planning through procurement, construction and final account.
• Prepare cost plans, estimates and tender documentation, and manage procurement and tender processes.
• Provide pre- and post-contract cost management, change control, valuations and final accounts.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to clients and take responsibility for the commercial performance and successful delivery of projects.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and support the development of new client opportunities.
• Manage and mentor junior members of the Quantity Surveying team and work closely with project managers, design teams, contractors and other consultants.

Skills & Experience

• MRICS qualified Quantity Surveyor preferred.
• Strong consultancy / PQS background with experience delivering projects through both pre- and post-contract stages.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts and procurement.
• Experience within healthcare, heritage, education or hotel projects would be advantageous.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills, commercially aware with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Experience mentoring or managing junior Quantity Surveyors and ambition to take on a senior role within the London team.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary up to £85,000 – £90,000 depending on experience.
