Job summary

Associate Electrical Engineer (Building Services) at WSP in Birmingham, UK. You will be based in our Birmingham office and lead the production of detailed electrical design work for Building Services projects across healthcare, commercial offices, residential, industry, defense and leisure sectors.

You will review design programmes, allocate resources, and supervise the design team to ensure quality and delivery in line with client expectations.

Qualifications

• A proven track record of delivering UK Building Services projects.
• Ability to engage with clients, contractors and design team members in technical discussions.
• Understanding of regulations applicable to Building Services and showcasing this through calculation.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for and direct others in producing detailed and performance specifications for the discipline.
• Review design programmes and ensure sufficient resources to complete works on time and to spec.
• Work with initiative with minimal supervision on technical aspects of the discipline.
• Supervise the completion of detailed designs and the work of others in this function.
• Lead the overall feasibility study for projects and assess feasibility for the discipline.
• Provide training and mentoring of staff.
