Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate/Technical Director to lead the Catchment Science team within Sustainable Water Management Consulting, delivering water quality solutions for major infrastructure. The role blends independent work with team leadership and business development across the UK, with a focus on high-profile projects and training the next generation of water quality scientists.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject; chartership or active progression toward chartership is desirable.
• Experience leading technical delivery of water quality projects and teams.
• Ability to develop scopes of services and lead high-profile bids.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of water quality projects and ensure quality assurance.
• Provide project direction including budget and change control.
• Mentor junior staff and support staff development.
• Develop and deliver water quality training programs.
• Prepare winning bid proposals and client-ready deliverables.
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver water quality aspects of infrastructure projects.
• Promote a safety-first approach in line with policy.
