Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an Associate or Associate Director Flood Risk and Water EIA consultant to lead the Bristol office and deliver technically complex water EIA and flood risk studies for major infrastructure projects across the UK.

The role includes line management of 3 team members, cross-team collaboration within Sustainable Water Management, and development of opportunities and proposals with senior colleagues. A degree in a relevant field and chartered status are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing Water EIA and Flood Risk deliverables.
• Leading or major contributor to technical inputs and teams for planning for major infrastructure projects.
• Track record delivering complex projects for the water environment and familiarity with UK planning regimes.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery and manage client/internal interfaces.
• Collaborate with national team to develop opportunities and proposals.
• Manage projects balancing programme, budget and quality; ensure health and safety standards.
• Provide people management and growth support to the Bristol team.
• Mentor junior colleagues and provide technical guidance.
• Grow WSP’s technical capability and develop new services for clients.
