Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is recruiting for Associate or Associate Director roles focused on flood risk management for Local Authorities across UK offices, including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bristol, Cardiff, and Leeds. You will lead projects, oversee technical deliverables, and mentor teams, while navigating regulatory frameworks such as the Flood Risk Management Act and related guidance.

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant environmental, geographical, science or engineering discipline is essential.
• Chartered status with CWEM, CEnv, CSci or CEng is desired for Principal or evidence of working towards chartership for Senior.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients and develop trusted advisor relationships.
• Lead the delivery of high-quality technical outputs to clients.
• Mentor junior colleagues and oversee small project teams.
• Manage projects balancing programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Contribute to winning new projects and extensions to existing work.
