Job summary

WSP is seeking Associate Directors (or Associate Directors) to lead flood risk management projects for Local Authorities from our UK offices in Glasgow/Edinburgh, Bristol, Cardiff or Leeds. You should bring strong leadership, budgeting, and client-facing skills, with a solid track record in flood risk and drainage schemes.

You will mentor junior staff, deliver technically robust outputs, and contribute to business growth while collaborating across a national team and delivering projects across

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant environmental, geographical, science or engineering discipline is essential.
• Chartered status with C.WEM, CEnv, CSci or CEng is desired for Principal or evidence of working towards chartership for Senior.

Responsibilities

• Engage positively with clients and grow a network of contacts.
• Lead delivery of high-quality technical outputs and act as technical reviewer/approver.
• Mentor junior colleagues and oversee small project teams.
• Manage and direct projects, balancing programme, budget and quality.
• Lead opportunities to win new projects and extensions.
• Demonstrate strong H&S behaviours within the team.
• Grow WSP’s technical capability and knowledge base.
