Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in the UK is seeking an Associate Director / Estimating Manager for major infrastructure projects. Hybrid role based in Glasgow or Edinburgh, with three days in the office and responsibility for leading estimating services across large capital schemes.

Qualifications

• You will have significant estimating experience within major infrastructure or complex capital projects.
• Experience leading estimating teams or functions across multi-project environments.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating services across major infrastructure and complex projects.
• Develop and review estimates from Class 5 to Class 1.
• Produce and assure first-principles estimates, take-offs, and costs.
• Lead estimate reviews, assurance and quality processes.
• Develop cost breakdown structures and assess deliverability.
• Apply risk, contingency and assumptions in estimates.
• Use benchmarking and market data to validate estimates.
• Prepare Basis of Estimate documentation and client submissions.
• Mentor and develop estimators across Glasgow and Edinburgh.
• Act as senior technical contact for clients and internal teams.
• Support bids, proposals and business development.
• Collaborate with leadership to advance estimating capability.
