Job summary

TSA Surveying Ltd is seeking an experienced Associate Director Building Surveyor to join our Bristol team. You will lead on a broad range of building surveying and project management services for public sector and education projects from inception to completion.

The role involves managing projects from feasibility to completion, delivering condition surveys, PPMS and lifecycle planning, and mentoring junior staff in a busy public-sector oriented environment. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• MRICS accreditation is essential.
• Strong Building Surveying background.
• Experience delivering education/public sector projects.
• Proven project management and contract administration experience.
• Experience working across public sector frameworks.
• Technical surveying knowledge including condition surveys, PPM and dilapidations.
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
• Experience managing projects or teams.

Responsibilities

• Project management of education and public sector projects ranging from small schemes to large programmes.
• Contract administration across standard forms of contract.
• Work within public sector frameworks.
• Conduct condition surveys and technical due diligence.
• Plan and implement Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes.
• Carry out building fabric assessments and lifecycle planning.
• Prepare specifications, tender documentation and reports.
• Manage projects from feasibility through completion.
• Nurture client relationships and develop long-term partnerships.
• Mentor and support junior members of the Building Surveying team.

We're currently working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy that is looking to appoint an Associate Director Building Surveyor to join its Bristol team.

This is a senior opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career, with the opportunity to work across a strong portfolio of public sector and education projects, ranging from smaller works through to major capital programmes valued at £30m+.

The Role

You'll be involved in delivering a broad range of Building Surveying and project management services, working closely with public sector clients and supporting projects from inception through to completion.

• Project management of education and public sector projects ranging from £100k to £30m
• Contract administration across a range of standard forms of contract
• Working through established public sector frameworks
• Condition surveys and technical due diligence
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes
• Building fabric assessments and lifecycle planning
• Dilapidations and schedules of condition
• Preparation of specifications, tender documentation and reports
• Managing projects from feasibility and design through to completion
• Client management and development of long-term relationships
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the Building Surveying team

About You

We're looking for an experienced Building Surveyor operating at Associate Director level, or someone ready to make that step.
