Role Overview

The Activation Associate Director is a senior role within the Nexus Media Solution Activation team, managing people and operations to meet client and business goals. This includes leading a top-tier team, delivering activation expertise, and overseeing demand forecasting. The role reports to an Activation Director and involves leadership of both onshore and offshore specialists.

Responsibilities
  1. Activation Excellence & Delivery
    • Oversee campaign pacing, performance, and lifecycle management for Tier 1 clients.
    • Lead end-to-end campaign activation and serve as the primary project stakeholder.
    • Guide and coach the activation team to meet client outcomes.
    • Support client leadership to meet KPIs and act as the activation voice for programmatic expertise.
    • Lead initiatives to improve solutions, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with technology partners.
  2. Performance and Demand Management
    • Forecast demand and supply, manage margins, and optimize campaign performance.
    • Mentor team in resolving delivery and performance issues.
    • Conduct detailed analysis for forecasting and communicate insights to stakeholders.
  3. Processes and Operational Efficiencies
    • Refine processes with the Director to enhance quality and efficiency.
    • Drive automation, offshoring, and training initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with activation controls and document best practices.
    • Collaborate on data, AI, and analytics implementation to improve campaign results.
  4. Team & Culture
    • Act as escalation point, mentor team, and manage performance.
    • Promote high standards, continuous learning, and a 'one team' ethos.
    • Handle recruitment, onboarding, and ensure team certification and knowledge updates.
  5. Minimum Requirements
    • Proven leadership in digital broadcasting or programmatic advertising.
    • Strong background in Ad Operations and team management.
    • Deep knowledge of programmatic platforms (DMPs, DSPs, SSPs) and video advertising metrics.
    • Experience with cross-channel digital operations and data analysis.
    • Excellent communication skills, relationship building, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
    • Highly organized with strong time-management skills.
    • UK work rights are required.
