DESCRIPTION

Amazon is innovating in the Operations and Logistics space and is seeking a driven, entrepreneurial, and analytical Account Manager for the UK. The ideal candidate will be excited about working in a start-up environment and have experience with B2B sales and account management for Medium to Extra Large customers.

The successful Account Manager will be comfortable navigating ambiguity, developing relationships across a diverse customer base, and driving commercial growth. The role requires collaboration with teams such as Business, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and IT, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals and revenue targets.

This role is based in London with potential moderate travel (up to 25%).

Key job responsibilities
  1. Own strategy and commercial growth of our customers
  2. Drive revenue, adoption, and market segment share for our product
  3. Build trust with customers and recommend solutions that meet their business needs, exceeding revenue and adoption targets
  4. Measure performance, analyze root causes, and identify improvement areas
  5. Communicate market segment needs to internal teams
  6. Analyze purchasing processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  7. Encourage spend adoption by advising customers on best practices
  8. Assess risks, anticipate challenges, and manage escalations
Basic qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in a professional or military setting
  • Proven ability to generate new opportunities and manage the sales cycle
  • Track record of exceeding quotas and KPIs
  • Experience in business development, partnerships, or sourcing new business
Preferred qualifications
  • Success in outbound account management or prospecting roles in B2B environments, especially in solutions or technology sectors
  • Advanced Salesforce.com skills, including dashboards, reports, and programming experience
