Job summary

Hollybank Trust in Mirfield is seeking an Assistive Technology Officer to join our Therapy Team. You will deliver AT interventions, assess and tailor technology to individual needs, and provide training to staff while maintaining safety and records.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to maximise the use of assistive tech for children and adults with complex disabilities. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and DBS checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assistive technology interventions, assessments and support sessions as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Assess and trial a range of assistive technology, environmental control and communication equipment.
• Adapt, personalise and configure technology solutions to meet individual needs.
• Carry out access device assessments and contribute to technology recommendations.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting and maintenance for specialist equipment.
• Create bespoke solutions, including adapting equipment and building mounting systems where required.
• Support colleagues across care, education and therapy services to maximise the use of assistive technology.
• Deliver training and guidance to staff teams on equipment, systems and best practice.
• Maintain accurate records, equipment databases and audit information.
• Ensure equipment is safe, appropriately maintained and compliant with relevant risk assessments.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies, innovations and evidence-based practice.
