Job summary

City of Doncaster Council is seeking an Assistive Technology Installation Officer to support residents across Doncaster by installing, testing, maintaining and exchanging assistive technology equipment. You will travel to customers’ homes, conduct annual reviews and keep detailed electronic records, ensuring up-to-date information and devices to promote independence and safety.

The role focuses on person-centred support, safeguarding, and collaboration with Adult Social Care.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a caring, compassionate approach.
• Understanding the needs of vulnerable adults is essential.
• Knowledge of assistive technology, dementia, safeguarding and health & safety would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Visit residents' homes to install, test, maintain, exchange and disconnect assistive technology equipment.
• Complete annual reviews of customer information and follow-up visits/contacts.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and ensure equipment/information are up to date.
