Job summary

City of Doncaster Council is seeking an ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY INSTALLATION OFFICER to support residents across Doncaster by installing and maintaining assistive technology equipment. The role requires a caring approach and strong communication, with duties including home visits and annual reviews.

The position is permanent and part‑time (26.25 hours per week) based at Holmescarr Centre, Doncaster, with a pro‑rata salary of £27,274–£28,153 plus a 3.5% allowance. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS disclosure is required for appointment to this post.
• Experience in assisting vulnerable adults with assistive technology preferred.
• Full driving license and own transport to travel throughout the borough.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, maintain, exchange and disconnect assistive technology equipment in residents' homes.
• Undertake home visits to ensure individuals have access to appropriate equipment for independence, wellbeing and safety.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and ensure information and equipment are up to date.
• Collaborate with Adult Social Care and partner organisations, following safeguarding, health and safety, data protection and customer care procedures.
