Job summary

Islington Council/Access Islington is recruiting an Assisted Technology Emergency Response Officer to support residents through rapid in-home assessments, installations, and monitoring. The role involves coordinating with social care, health practitioners, and referrers to deliver timely assistive technology solutions, maximise independence, and ensure customer-focused service delivery.

Qualifications

Experience delivering high quality customer service in a complex organisation.
Experience with a diverse community in a customer-focused environment.
Ability to make decisions, multitask and respond calmly in emergencies.
Flexibility to work varying times, patterns and locations.
Proficiency with IT systems and data entry in operational settings.

Responsibilities

Provide a wide range of services supporting Out of Hours and email/eform processing.
Deal with complex enquiries, including distressed or aggressive individuals, with empathy.
Make real-time decisions in emergencies impacting residents and service delivery.
Drive and attend incidents as required, planning routes to ensure timely response.
Maintain operational data in appropriate systems and support cross-team collaboration.
