Job summary

bp is seeking an experienced marine engineering professional to join as Assistant Vessel Manager in London. The role follows a hybrid pattern with four days in the office and one day remote.

You will support maintenance planning across vessels, coordinate a small team of engineers, and gain exposure to vessel operations and future dry-docking activity, with progression toward Vessel Manager.

Qualifications

• Senior Engineering Certificate of Competency and/or a degree in Marine Engineering.
• Sea going experience in a senior rank on board LNG carriers or equivalent experience from a shore based technical management position

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule vessel maintenance activities.
• Support and coordinate a team of seagoing maintenance engineers.
• Ensure maintenance work is appropriately resourced.
• Assist with relevant logistics coordination.
• Accompany maintenance engineers onboard vessels to gain knowledge and build relationships.
