Job summary

Machine Mart are looking for a store supervisor in the Leicester area to help run the day-to-day store operations. You’ll share responsibility with the Store Manager and co-lead a small team of 4–6 staff, ensuring great customer service and sales performance.

You’ll motivate your team to meet challenging targets, build rapport with customers, and offer honest advice. The role rewards hands-on leadership, practical product knowledge and a positive can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a retail customer service orientated or sales environment.
• Supervisory or junior management experience within a retail or field sales position.
• Knowledge of some or all of our product range.
• Proven ability to sell some or all of our product range.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service to all customers.
• Proven experience in achieving sales targets.
• Confident, enthusiastic team player.
• Accuracy and numeracy; basic computer literacy.
• Self-motivation and a can-do attitude.
• Desire to succeed both individually and as co-leader of the team.

Job description

• Working with the Store Manager, you’ll share joint responsibility for the day to day running of the store
• You’ll be leading by example, co-managing a small team of between 4 - 6 members of staff
• You will be working up to 45 hours per week - all extra time worked is paid or can be taken as time off in lieu
• You’ll be committed to motivating your team to deliver a great customer experience as well as achieving challenging sales targets
• With a commitment to offering honest advice, you will build rapport with customers, exceeding their expectations and reassuring them when they're bewildered by choice

What you’ll need - skills and experience:

• Proven experience in a retail customer service orientated or sales environment
• Supervisory or junior management experience within a retail or field sales position, ideally in a hard goods environment
• You’ll have practical experience / knowledge of some or all of our product range
• Proven ability to sell some or all of our product range
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service to all of our customers
• Proven experience in achieving sales targets
• You’ll be a confident, enthusiastic team player
• Your personal skills should include accuracy and numeracy as well as basic computer literacy
• You’ll possess a high degree of self motivation and a can-do attitude
• You’ll demonstrate a desire to succeed both individually and as co-leader of the team
