Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for external planned maintenance projects in Kent. The role is based in Chatham, England, on a permanent basis with excellent progression opportunities. You will lead a site team, manage subcontractors and ensure works meet specification, on a six-year contract for social housing.

A valid SSSTS or SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS, and Asbestos Awareness are required. This position offers a competitive package up to £45,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in external planned maintenance environments is desirable.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Health & safety compliance and quality control experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage sub-contractors and direct operatives.
• Lead the site team to deliver works to specification.
• Oversee delivery of works and manage direct reports (RLOs, office staff).
• Conduct pre- and post-inspections of works.
• Perform health & safety and quality checks.
