Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager for a busy 90-unit residential development in West Sussex. You will support the Site Manager, oversee trades, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure NHBC Pride in the Job standards while maintaining high build quality across plots.

The role requires several years on site with PLC or established builders, a strong eye for detail, and CSCS/SMSTS and First Aid qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Site Manager on residential developments.
• Familiar with volume housebuilding pace and NHBC Pride in the Job standards.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain plot progression.
• Strong eye for build quality and issue identification before they escalate.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager with daily site running and keep trades organized across plots.
• Manage subcontractors across build stages and ensure work stays to programme.
• Maintain NHBC Pride in the Job standards and high build quality on all plots.
• Carry out plot inspections and identify issues early for resolution.
• Coordinate materials and labour to prevent delays.
• Uphold health & safety standards and support handover readiness.
