Places for People is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a housing development in the South West. You will work closely with the Site Manager and project team to coordinate day-to-day activity on site, ensuring work progresses safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

This hands-on role offers the opportunity to develop your site management experience while contributing to delivering homes customers can be proud of.

Qualifications

• CSCS supervisor accreditation is required.
• SMSTS qualification is essential.
• First Aid certificate is required.
• Scaffold Inspection qualification is advantageous.
• Full, clean UK driving licence is required.
• Knowledge of NHBC standards and building control requirements.
• Experience in housebuilding or residential construction is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support the Site Manager with day-to-day construction activity, ensuring work is delivered in line with programme, budget and quality standards.
• Promote safe working practices across the development and maintain a professional site culture.
• Monitor quality and ensure Build Stage Inspection processes are followed.
• Carry out health and safety inductions for contractors and visitors on site.
• Plan and coordinate work packages, site activities and logistics to minimise risks.
• Work with contractors, suppliers, NHBC and other stakeholders to keep activity progressing and deadlines on track.
• Deputise for the Site Manager when required and maintain effective site management and discipline.
• Liaise with new homeowners and coordinate timely completion of snagging work.
