Job summary

Places Developments is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a residential development. Working closely with the Site Manager and project team, you will coordinate day-to-day activity on site, ensuring work progresses safely, efficiently and to high quality standards.

This hands-on role offers the opportunity to develop your site management experience while liaising with contractors, NHBC, and homeowners to complete snagging and ensure on-time project

Qualifications

• CSCS supervisor accreditation and SMSTS qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• First Aid certificate (valid).
• Scaffold Inspection qualification.
• Knowledge of NHBC standards and building control requirements.
• Experience in housebuilding or residential construction.
• Strong IT and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Site Manager with day-to-day management of construction activity.
• Ensure work is delivered in line with the programme, budget and quality standards.
• Promote safe working practices across the development and help maintain a positive site culture.
• Monitor quality and ensure Build Stage Inspection processes are followed.
• Carry out health and safety inductions for contractors and visitors.
• Plan and coordinate work packages, site activities and logistics to minimise risks.
• Work with contractors, suppliers, NHBC and stakeholders to keep activity progressing and deadlines.
• D organise for Site Manager when required and maintain site discipline.
• Coordinate snagging work with new homeowners.
