Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support site management within the Anglian Water @one Alliance. The role focuses on safe, efficient delivery of construction activities, coordinating labour, plant and materials on a site-based programme and assisting with risk management and coordination across stakeholders.

The position offers progression towards a Site Manager role, with responsibilities across planning, quality and SHEQ, on medium-sized projects within the Anglian

Qualifications

• SMSTS trained and CSCS card holder.
• First Aid at Work certification.
• Temporary Works Supervisor qualification.
• Commercial and contractual awareness, with programme and resource management experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise and solve problems on a busy site.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of construction activities across site.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors to support efficient delivery.
• Monitor short-term programmes, progress and performance, identifying risks, delays and opportunities.
• Carry out site inspections and ensure work meets specifications and SHEQ requirements.
• Ensure RAMS, permits and site documentation are in place and communicated.
• Maintain accurate site records and assist with project changes and site issues.
• Build positive relationships with site teams, clients and stakeholders.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and deputise for the Site Manager when required.
