Job summary

Balfour Beatty is looking for a proactive Site Engineer to join the @one Alliance delivering Anglian Water projects. You’ll work with Project Managers, Site Managers and Design Teams to drive engineering excellence across AMP8, ensuring safe, efficient delivery and high quality standards.

You’ll set out, survey and inspect works, maintain records, manage subcontractors, and support risk, environmental and health & safety objectives across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Site Engineer experience in construction, utilities, civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, setting out techniques and surveying equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation; QA processes knowledge.
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Proactive problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Anglian Water region.

Responsibilities

• Set out and survey works per approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Ensure construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme objectives.
• Produce and maintain accurate site records, quality assurance documentation and as-built information.
• Support the planning, coordination and delivery of construction activities across multiple projects.
• Work closely with design teams to identify and resolve technical issues and engineering challenges.
• Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure works are delivered to the required quality, safety and environmental standards.
• Undertaking inspections, testing and verification activities to support successful project delivery.
• Assisting with risk management processes and ensuring safe systems of work are effectively implemented.
• Supporting environmental, sustainability and health & safety objectives across all project activities.
• Building strong collaborative relationships with Alliance partners, suppliers and site teams to drive successful outcomes.
