Job summary

Places Developments is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a residential development in Worcester. You will work with the Site Manager and project team to coordinate daily site activity, ensuring safety, quality and progress align with the programme.

You will promote safe practices, monitor quality, and help drive timely snagging and occupancy-ready homes for customers. A strong focus on communication and collaboration with stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• CSCS supervisor accreditation is essential.
• SMSTS qualification required.
• First Aid certificate and Scaffold Inspection qualification are required.
• Knowledge of NHBC standards and building control requirements is essential.
• Experience in housebuilding or residential construction preferred.
• A full, clean UK driving licence is required.
• Good IT and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager with day-to-day management of construction activity.
• Ensure work is delivered on programme, budget and quality standards.
• Promote safe working practices on site and maintain a professional site culture.
• Monitor quality and ensure Build Stage Inspection processes are followed.
• Lead health and safety inductions for contractors and visitors.
• Plan and coordinate work packages, site activities and logistics.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, NHBC and stakeholders to keep progress on track.
• Assist in safeguarding and coordinate snagging with homeowners.
