Assistant Site Manager - East Yorkshire

My clients are a 5-star housebuilder with an excellent reputation and plans for expansion in the next 12-18 months. They are seeking a permanent Assistant Site Manager for a site in East Yorkshire.

The successful candidate will assist in managing all aspects of a construction development site, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective works, while maintaining high-quality standards and customer service within specified timescales.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Support the management of daily site operations and provide clear direction to construction team members regarding their responsibilities and targets.
2. Assist in implementing health and safety procedures.
3. Motivate, support, and manage directly employed site staff; conduct toolbox talks, training, coaching, and support to improve performance.
4. Maintain site presentation standards at all times.
5. Assist the Site Manager in meeting production requirements according to technical and planning documentation.
6. Ensure compliance with building regulations and warranty requirements (NHBC, LABC Services).
7. Maintain comprehensive site records, including Site Manager reports, labour, plant, materials, site inductions, and health and safety records.
8. Inspect and ensure remedial work is completed before each NHBC key stage inspection.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills:

• Experience as an Assistant Site Manager with a high-volume residential house builder.
• Proven ability to manage teams effectively.
• Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety and building legislation.
• CSCS card.
• SMSTS certificate.
• First Aid certificate.
• Construction Management qualification – HNC Level 4 or HND.
• Scaffold Appreciation certificate (desirable).
