St Luke’s Hospice in Harrow/Brent is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Shop Manager to support our retail team across Harrow and Brent. This Sunday-only role involves ensuring outstanding customer service, maximizing income, and managing the shop in the Manager’s absence.
You will work with our Shop Managers and volunteers to run shops, handle donations, and maintain safety standards while supporting multiple locations. Lifting furniture may be required.
Contract: Permanent contract 7.5 hours per week – on a flexible 7 day rota

St Luke’s Hospice is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Shop Manager to support our retail team across Harrow and Brent. This is a varied, hands‑on role where no two days are the same. You’ll help deliver excellent customer service, maximise income for the Hospice, and create welcoming shops that our customers, volunteers and supporters enjoy visiting.
Working alongside our Shop Managers and volunteers, you’ll play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of our shops and will take responsibility for managing the shop in the Manager’s absence.
As Assistant Shop Manager, you will:
This role includes working within our furniture operations. You will be required to move, lift, assemble and display furniture safely. Successful candidates will be required to complete manual handling training.
We’re looking for someone who:
Previous retail experience would be advantageous, but we are equally interested in candidates with a positive attitude, strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
