Job summary

Isabel Hospice is seeking a creative, driven Assistant Shop Manager for our Ware charity shop, working Saturdays and Sundays (14 hours per week). You will work with the Shop Manager and volunteers to run a vibrant store that supports our local community and patient care with a focus on sustainable fashion and excellent customer service.

You will lead by example, help with displays, volunteer training, and events, and contribute to the shop’s successful performance while upholding our inclusive

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer focused environment.
• Interest in or experience with sustainable fashion.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Shows understanding, respect and consideration for others at all times.
• Strong organisational skills with a proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Support the Shop Manager to maximise store income and profits by delivering exceptional retail standards.
• Maintain and promote the highest standard of customer care.
• Create eye-catching displays and maintain cleanliness throughout the shop.
• Support the Shop Manager to engage and train volunteers to assist in the running of the shop.
• Meet gift aid conversion rates from people donating goods.
• Support events held both in the shop and the local community.

Job description

We’re looking for a creative, driven, and sales-focused individual to join our team as Assistant Shop Manager at our Ware charity shop working on Saturdays and Sundays (14 hrs per week).

In this role, you’ll work alongside the Shop Manager and a dedicated team of volunteers to help run a vibrant and successful store. Each of our shops has its own unique character, and you’ll play a key part in upholding our strong reputation within the local community.

Your work won’t just help divert waste from landfill — it will directly support Isabel Hospice in providing expert care to those who need it most.

What you’ll bedoing:

• Supporting the Shop Manager to maximise store income and profits by delivering exceptional retail standards
• Maintaining and promoting the highest standard of customer care
• Creating eye-catching displays and maintaining cleanliness throughout the shop
• Supporting the Shop Manager to engage and train volunteers to assist in the running of the shop

• Support events held both in the shop (evenings) and the local community

Ideal candidates will have:
