Job summary

St Luke's Hospice Sheffield is seeking an experienced Retail Area Manager to lead a portfolio of charity shops and retail premises across the region. You will inspire Shop Managers and Deputies, drive sales, improve Gift Aid performance and deliver outstanding customer service.

Job description

Are you an experienced multi-site retail manager looking for a role where your leadership can make a real difference?

At St Luke's Hospice, our retail operation plays a vital role in generating income to support specialist care and services within our communities. We are looking for an inspiring and commercially minded Retail Area Manager to lead a portfolio of charity shops and retail premises, driving sales, developing teams and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Retail, you will be responsible for the performance and development of multiple retail locations across the region. You will work closely with Shop Managers and Deputy Managers, providing leadership, coaching and support to maximise profitability, maintain high retail standards and deliver excellent customer service.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will:

  • Lead, motivate and develop Shop Managers, Deputies and volunteer teams.
  • Drive sales, profitability and Gift Aid performance across your area.
  • Analyse trading performance and implement improvements to maximise income.
  • Ensure shops maintain outstanding merchandising, presentation and operational standards.
  • Support recruitment, induction, training and performance management activities.
  • Monitor budgets, stock control and financial performance.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, security and organisational policies.

About You

You will have:
