Job summary

Scope’s Bognor Regis shop is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to help run the shop with the Shop Manager, 14 hours a week in a permanent, on-site role. You will engage with the local community and support volunteers while driving sales and delivering excellent service.

The role requires retail experience and an enhanced DBS check, and is based at 42 Bedford Street, Bognor Regis. Salary starts from £24,479 per year, closing date 5 October 2026.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of the shop operations.
• Work with the Shop Manager to support, motivate, and involve a diverse team of paid employees and volunteers.
• Actively promote Scope and its services within the community.
• Support the shop manager to drive sales and effectively manage stock. Also support our online selling with identifying suitable items and listing on online selling platforms
• Help the team deliver excellent customer service.
• Deputise for the shop manager in their absence.
