Avenues Group is seeking an Assistant Service Manager in Rainham, Kent. This on-site, full-time role supports a service for adults with learning disabilities, coordinating a dedicated team to deliver safe, person-centered care.

You will work under the Service Manager, ensuring compliance with policies, building a positive culture, and stepping in during absences. A valid UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a care or support team.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety policies.
• Flexibility to cover shifts, including early and late.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support a service team with the Service Manager.
• Balance safety with positive risk-taking.
• Understand social care impacts on people supported.
• Stay compliant with policies and procedures.
• Assist with recruitment and staff development.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Act as Service Manager when needed.
• Work shifts including 7am–2:30pm and 2pm–9:30pm; occasional overtime.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
