The Avenues Trust Group is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to join our Rainham service in Kent. The role involves supporting the Service Manager, guiding a dedicated team, and ensuring safe, person-centred support for a male adult with learning disabilities. Driving licence is required and shifts include mornings and evenings.

Competenze

• Experience in social care settings and supporting adults with learning disabilities.
• Ability to recruit, develop and manage a staff team in a fair and consistent manner.
• Understanding of policies and procedures for safe care and best practices.

Mansioni

• Work with the Service Manager to lead a successful and positive team.
• Balance safety with positive risk taking for the people supported.
• Stay up to date with policies and procedures to maintain safe practices.
• Assist with recruitment and staff development overseen by the Service Manager.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and supervise 1-1 support as needed.
• Act as the Service Manager in their absence.
• Flexibility to work shifts: 7am-2:30pm and 2pm-9:30pm; driving licence required.
